B-U Supplements Vitamin D Drops Review
Vitamin D is an essential nutrient for babies, and even though breast milk is largely considered liquid gold and is amazing at providing babies with nutrients
and antibodies unfortunately vitamin D is only passed in tiny quantities. So as a breastfeeding mother I knew I would
need to use a vitamin D supplement.
Vitamin D promotes healthy bones by helping the body to better
absorb calcium. Infants with a vitamin D deficiency may experience sleeplessness,
irritability, lowered immune system, tooth delay, weakness, muscle spasms and
more.
I was using a brand of vitamin D drops that required my son to
ingest a full dropper full and had a terrible taste. Every dose was a battle
and I knew I had to find another option.
B-U Supplements brand of vitamin D drops for infants was exactly
what I was looking for. It comes in a 2ml glass bottle with a medicine dropper.
Each bottle contains well over 2000 doses! It’s flavorless, I actually tried it
before I gave it to my son and it felt like I put a drop of water on my tongue.
One drop is all it takes to deliver a full dose of 400lU and contains no
artificial colors or preservatives.
The first time I gave my son the drops it started out as a fight
as usually. The second he seen the bottle he tried to crawl away. After the initial
battle, I managed to get a drop in his mouth and instead of grimace and try to
spit it back out as usual, this time he just looked at me confused then went
back to playing.
I’ve now been using the drops for about a week and I have found that
the easiest method to give them to him is to simply apply one drop onto my
clean finger and put it in his mouth. There is no more fighting and he
no longer tries to get away when its vitamin time.
